Dear Friends,
Though we are saddened by Washington’s continued use of the Planned Parenthood-designed “Comprehensive Sex-Ed” (read here and here for more) following the last vote, we are not giving up! We’re going to seize every good opportunity to overturn CSE and bring a common sense approach to sex-ed!
The first of those opportunities is actually right now!
Initiative 1109 is an opt-in program which requires:
- Local School Boards and parents choose the sex-ed program – not the State
- Sexual health is only for grades 5-12 (CSE is K-12)
- Material must be available online for citizen review (CSE isn’t)
- Must be able to be broadcast on public media (CSE is too explicit for public broadcast)
- Primary prevention / students avoid sexual risk-taking behaviors (opposite of CSE)

Petitions must be returned by Dec. 21st.
I-1109 is the most immediate way for us to address the spike in sexual abuse, promiscuity, and abortions which so often follows CSE. Thank you for helping us advocate for common sense sex-ed in our state!
