What if I were to tell you there’s a massive corporate chain which has profited for years by targeting African Americans? Would you believe it? What if I took it a step farther and told you that this corporation was founded by a racist eugenicist, and that it uses your tax dollars to do this? It sounds like something out of a dystopian novel, not a report on current events.
Unfortunately, there’s nothing fictional about it. Planned Parenthood, founded by noted racist eugenicist Margaret Sanger and her even more racist pal Lothrop Stoddard, has a long-standing history of targeting the African American population. Just a few of the devastating facts are:
- About 13% of American women are Black, but they submit to over 38% of all abortions.
- In some cities, like New York, more Black babies are aborted than born.
- In America today, a Black baby is three times more likely to be killed in the womb than a white baby.
- It’s estimated that 19 million Black babies have been killed by abortion since its legalization.
- Since 1973, abortion has reduced the Black population by over 25%.* (This statistic was arrived at by multiplying an estimated population total of 325,719,178 by 13.4%)
- Margaret Sanger’s racist legacy at Planned Parenthood lives on in today’s pro-abortion movement. As recently as 2009, Ruth Bader Ginsburg told the New York Times that “at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.” (Citation)
Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., once remarked “The great irony is that abortion has done what the [Ku Klux] Klan only dreamed of.” She elaborated, “In the last forty-plus years, 15 million black people have been denied their most basic civil right, the right to life. Roughly one quarter of the black population is now missing.”
Of course, sharing that truth is a risky business, as is evidenced by the two Students for Life members who were arrested by DC Police for chalking “Black Preborn Lives Matter.”
Unlike the DC’s Mayor, we at HLW wholeheartedly support Students for Life’s Black Preborn Lives Matter campaign as they fight to share the truth! We encourage you to do the same!
